To view cases in person at the probate clerk’s office, it is recommended that visitors use the public terminals located at the office. Record seekers will be required to provide search information, such as party names, case numbers, and filing dates, while using the system. If it is necessary to view paper files, record seekers may schedule a viewing appointment by calling (972) 548-6461.

Although viewing records in person may be free, record requests may still incur search fees and copy fees for any physical copies. The search fee is typically around $5, and copy fees are $1 per page. Requesters may also provide a self-addressed and stamped envelope if physical copies need to be mailed. Applicable Fees for Collin County Probate Court Record Requests
Applicable fees for Collin County Probate Court records may include the following.
- Non-certified paper copies at $1 per page
- Non-certified electronic copies are $1 for the first 10 pages and $0.10 for each additional page
- Certified copies of a document cost $1 per page and $5 for certification of the document
- Copies on a disk at $20 per 100 pages
